Wait, wait, wait. Before you do anything else: start SQL Developer, connect to your database, and load your PL/SQL object into the Procedure Editor (not the worksheet!) Ok, now we can start. Compile for Debug. Don’t do this in production – it adds overhead for working with and executing the PL/SQL. The PL/SQL Beautifier allows you to format your SQL and PL/SQL code through a user-defined set of rules. Your code can automatically be beautified when you compile, save, or open a file. Multi-threaded IDE

System requirements

PL/SQL Developer will run on Windows XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. The supported Oracle Server versions are 7.x, 8.x, 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c and 19c on any platform. To connect to an Oracle database, the 32 bit PL/SQL Developer version requires a 32 bit Oracle Client and the 64 bit PL/SQL Developer version requires a 64 bit Oracle Client.

Pricing & Licensing

PL/SQL Developer licenses are per named user, and not per PC, Server, Database or Location. Therefore you need just one license for one named user, even if you are running multiple instances on multiple machines. For complete license terms you can download our License Agreement.

If you order a Service Contract with your PL/SQL Developer licenses, you are entitled to receive technical support by e-mail and free product upgrades for the period of 1 or 3 years. Without this contract, you will receive only patch releases of the PL/SQL Developer version you purchased.
You can order the service contract directly with PL/SQL Developer. The service contract can be renewed when it expires. When ordering a service contract at a later time, a reinstatement fee will apply.

This a replacement for the standard Query Builder. This one is based on the Active Query Builder component by Active Database Software. It offers additional features like unions, nested joins and sub-queries.

The plsqldoc Plug-In allows you to easily generate and view HTML documentation for functions, procedures, packages, types, tables and views. The documentation is derived from the definition and the comments of these objects, in a similar way as Javadoc for the Java programming language.

FTP File Interface

The FTP File Interface Plug-In allows you to load and save files via the ftp protocol from within PL/SQL Developer. This gives you the possibility to store your files on a unix or linux server or even on the internet.

Customized Syntax Highlighting

With this Plug-In you can add your own keywords and assign any of the available highlighting schemes to them. You can even define your own query to retrieve keywords from the database. This way you can easily add package names, table names, etc as keywords.
